The Number of Plus Size Fashion Lines is Growing
Ever since the launch of Rent the Runway’s Plus Size Division at the beginning of last month, I’ve noticed a number of plus size fashion lines popping up. Well, for all you curvy plus size ladies who love Justin Timberlake, I’ve got good news! The President of Pop’s clothing brand William Rast has a new collection and an exclusive denim line just for plus size gals at Addition Elle! If you’re a fashion forward plus size lady, you’re probably familiar with the ultimate plus size shopping site, Addition Elle, who carries intimate apparel, sleepwear, activewear, outerwear, and accessories in sizes 14 to 26. If you haven’t shopped this online store, now’s the perfect time to check it out!
P.S. Now through Sunday, October 13, take 25% off denim!
Dior’s New Beauty Boutique Across the Pond
When I studied abroad across the pond in college, I spent some quality time shopping, eating, and enjoying one of London’s premiere public spaces, Covent Garden. Now, Dior is giving us another reason to hit this hot destination. This November, the iconic brand will open it’s first standalone beauty store in the UK. What can you expect to find in this boutique? There will be classic Dior skincare, make-up, and fragrance along with some other exclusive products. Visiting London soon or studying abroad in England this Fall? Check this out!
Fashion’s Next Menswear Collection
In other news from England, one of my favorite British lines, Whistles, plans to launch a menswear line in Fall/Winter 2014. Good news, lads! The collection is expected to be available in stores and online, so men in America can still shop the line. The big question is, will the menswear collection show at London Fashion Week in 2014?
UPDATE on Costume Designers in the Fashion World
You may have read my post back in September about costume designers gaining recognition in the fashion world and the idea of costume designers launching their own lines. There’s another flicker of hope of this actually coming to fruition! The costume designer of the hit HBO show Girls, Jenn Rogien, hints her own line may not be out of the question. The designer emphasizes that her priority is first and foremost costume design. However, Rogien admits to having a heart for DYI and an admiration for fashion designers. Nothing seems remotely official yet, but I’m excited at the possibility of a collection for Rogien or other costume designers who are entertaining the idea. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing niche!

If you love fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff as much as I do, you’ll want to check out her other holiday collection. Minkoff has designed an exclusive line for the stationary site Tiny Prints, including holiday cards, gift tags, address labels, and thank-you notes. Did you have a new baby and are sending out holiday cards for the first time? Are you on top of your game and mail a thank-you note for every gift your receive? Do you love DIY gifts and want to find the perfect gift tag to add as the cherry on top? No matter what you’re looking for this holiday season, this collaboration has got you covered!
